Must visit when you are here at the Desert Hot Springs! Amazing construction and wonderful artist. I was surprised he was studying in Paris with some very famous artists. Love this place. Thank you for keeping it safe
Quirky historical museum in the desert. The man that built this was a true adventurer and built this place almost on his own against the odds. Buy tickets on line, listen to the audio tour and be amazed by his tenacity to build where no one else had. Worth a visit and guides are helpful and friendly. Nice little gift shop too.
Interesting little spot and I learned alot more than I thought! Unique place to learn about Cabot Yerxa and the founding of Desert Hot springs as a dual hot spring area. I had a trip to the nearby Onsen inn and spa and was looking what to do in town. This place it's just up around the corner and overlooks the whole valley. Interesting stories and beautiful handmade architecture from Cabot and the family etc. Cute little gift shop and helpful employees. Call ahead and double check the times open, I almost messed up and missed opening hours since they have seasonal hours. Nice bathrooms btw.
This place had a cool history and the fact that no one ransack this place for years when it was abandoned to have all the original artifacts there was amazing kind of off the beaten path in the middle of the desert if you're in the area I recommend you stop by
Super cool place to visit when in Desert Hot Springs. Tons of local history within the museum, and the total grounds are a Trip!!!
Wonderful to walk and see every leaf on every Palo Verde tree, lol...but seriously...the flora and flauna here are SO beautiful!
Loved the Pueblo, and would've loved to be able to see inside.
Definitely a Gotta SEE Destination!
A homesteading adobe and concrete set of buildings including the main house, workshop, and gardens. Both guided self guided tours available. Fairly ramshackle in construction and layout. Many original artifacts to look at. Nice gift shop.
Interesting museum of the home and history of the city of Dessert Hot Springs. Very tiny home built in the 1900's. The tour is done by web audio bites. Staff is kind and knowledgeable. The gift and souvenir shop has many native made objects.
Finally!! I attended the Feel Good Festival held here and it was a spiritual experience. The space is filled with determination and vision.
